Beginning his sixth year as the Campus Minister, Andy Wood is a graduate of VA Tech, receiving a business management degree in 1999. From there, he went straight into ministry. He was a youth pastor for five years in Richmond, VA before heading to St. Louis for seminary at Covenant Theological Seminary. In December 2007, after graduating, he moved to Raleigh, NC to be an Associate Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
Andy married Amy, a graduate of Texas Christian University, in August of 2003. They have 4 energetic children, Josiah (9), Cooper (7), Sadie Jane (5), and Benji (3). They recently added Hank, a Yellow Lab puppy, to the mix, and the whole family just absolutely loves him. They love spending time outdoors, running, reading, being with friends, and rooting for the Hokies and the St. Louis Cardinals. Andy also enjoys bluegrass and playing the guitar and mandolin.

Amy grew up in Richmond, VA and attended Texas Christian University. Upon graduation from TCU in 2003, Amy moved back to VA, married Andy, and got her Master's in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. They moved to St. Louis in 2004 to cheer on the Cardinals and for Andy to attend Covenant Seminary. Amy has been helping Andy with RUF at Virginia Tech since 2011 while chasing their four kids - Josiah, Cooper, Sadie Jane & Benji - and Hank, their yellow lab puppy. She loves people, planning events, everything outdoors, and coffee...lots of coffee.
Spencer grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Morganton, North Carolina and attended Western Carolina University where he studied Parks and Recreation Management (it's different than the TV show, I promise.) He also met his wife, Courtney, at WCU in 2014. They were married on August 8th, 2015. Spencer and Courtney both found RUF during their time at WCU, and Spencer found the RUF internship to be a great place to serve others for Christ. They both love being outside, hiking, rock climbing, spending time with friends, listening to good music, and lame jokes.
Noemi was born and raised in Houston, Texas along with five siblings. She graduated from the University of Houston in 2016 with degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Her freshman year she became involved in RUF and immediately loved the community. She has been greatly impacted by her campus minister and intern who pushed her out of her comfort zone and spoke truth when she needed to hear it. They influenced her love of ministry, which led to her decision to apply for the RUF internship. She is very excited to begin ministering at Virginia Tech where she hopes to learn how to live among the mountains and get away from the humid Houston weather.
